Date certainly looks like the way Joseph Woods would have written -/7/1846.
In 235882 a W Borrer (i.e. as though he were giving his own name rather than another referring to Mr Borrer) gives a date as 'Aug 1842' which JW would have rendered 428-, supporting JW as the transcriber in your sheet.

Yes and I thought the scrip a little like Woods' though not quite as neat, small and tidy as usual.
