This was digitised as at Aldershot, North Hampshire, VC12 BUT the specimen clearly says nothing about Aldershot or VC12, and makes it clear it was in Surrey VC17. To be precise I infer it was probably at SU8853 a known old location for Carex elongata. I have deleted the 'Aldershot' and inserted what is written on the specimen.

Thank you for correcting the documentation.

I think this type of mistake, though unfortunate is easy to make (particularly when picking names from an incomplete gazetteer).

As can be seen with this specimen, even Beeby was sometimes unclear himself (explicitly citing 'North Camp, Aldershot' on a VC17 herbarium label):

there are several sheets where Beeby refers to Aldershot, Surrey interchangeably with Hampshire.
