Label says '(t Murbeck)' rather like sheet 322542 which has 't S Murbeck'. Both collected during May 1887 in Surrey. Is this Beeby mistranscribing 'Svante Samuel Murbeck' (1859-1946)? This collector has just turned up in his home country Sweden, sheet 358062 where he appears as 'Sv. Murbeck' (wonderful label including det. Richard von Wettstein)? 'Svante Murbeck' is named on yet another sheet 329502 in what may be his own hand.
Anyone know if Murbeck visited Beeby please? Are we justified in combining these under one collector? |

Thanks Nick! So I guess these should be 'confirmed by' Murbeck, and no suggestion he actually visited Surrey. |
