The gazetteer gives Little Smeaton in North-east Yorkshire at NZ30; this is N of Northallerton and even further away from SW Yorkshire than Lousley's other sites of the time around Settle.

Unbelievably Yorkshire has another Little Smeaton 10km SE of Pontefract at OS SE5216, in SW Yorks.
