N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Albury - Herts may be most likely - well-known for aquatic specimens and near suitable habitat of canal & Tring reservoirs

or Albury Surrey, given other Woods specimens of that month are from that area. But who or where is W B?

W.B. is presumably William Borrer of Henfield, West Sussex, who was a close associate of Woods.

Info from CLL: This native of N. America was first noticed in Britain in 1822 by John Stuart Mill, who found it by the Tillingbourne at Albury, it had been carried down from Albury Park gardens, where it was cultivated.
