N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

What does anyone make of this. Given the bequest date, the specimen appears to be dated [18]59, but the labelling looks far more modern than that, so that 1959 might be more credible. Am I correctly reading the collector as 'E Leeds'? (Kew's herbcat does have some 19th Century 'Edward Leeds' specimens - so could be possible)

Churchill's herbarium contains plants from a multiplicity of collectors and, one imagines, there has been ample opportunity for remounting and relabelling specimens.

Edward Leeds (1802-1877) was a Manchester nurseryman and Daffodil breeder. See, for example, http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=QVFFAQAAQBAJ&pg=PT68&lpg=PT68&dq=edward+leeds+narcissi&source=bl&ots=iL36Eh2nOq&sig=iQdlrCleRJxZ7ClCMymi0-DxSRE&hl=en&sa=X&ei=1C0CU8yyLs6qhQfY34GQDg&ved=0CEMQ6AEwBA#v=onepage&q=edward%20leeds%20narcissi&f=false
