Although there is a Whetham SW of Calne, Wilts ST9768, I have also seen the name on a Gamble sheet of this species from Liss, Hants.

British History Online records Liss (Lysse, Lys, Leys, Lyss, Lyshe, Lisse) with Wheatham Farm (OS SU750273; 15th century farmhouse, below wooded Wheatham Hill) in the west of the parish, and records 'Whetham' as an earlier name. James Sykes Gamble in his later days lived at Highfield, East Liss.
