Strange. When I documented the other specimen on this sheet it was the drop-down 'More countries' menu that wasn't working!!

Have now succeeded. 2 dates - can't tell which is date of collection

I wonder if the '!' here implies that Gay has seen the collection of authority Jakob Friedrich Ehrhart who died in 1795. Otherwise Gay may refer to the works of James Dickson, (1738-1822), which were "Collection of Dried Plants" 1789-1791, and "Hortus Siccus Britannicus" 1793-1802. These could be the source of the 1793 date here, and 1791 on sheet 343581. Gay was born in 1786 and is reputed to have begun collecting at the age of 14, so not until about 1800.
