N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Does anyone else read this as 'Clan lochan'?? A site I can't identify though vaguely think I've heard before. As Whitehead's other specimens of the time are all from S Aberdeenshire, it is hard to see how Caenlochan is meant, occurring in Perthshire and Angus

Others of Whitehead's gatherings in that month are from Lochnager. Possibly "Clan Lochan" is an informal name for a local feature (Glen Lochan?) mistranscribed by Painter.
