Lots of Irish sheets recently. Useful web-pages for locations are:
Irish Grid Reference Finder searchable by place name, mouse-over the red pin to get 10-digit grid reference and administrative county. View is cumulative: so can show several search results, which is handy for labels with several place names (though a disaster if it decides one of them is outside Ireland!)
Marcus Geoghegan's Irish Grid Reference page gives references and altitude for any known point.
Irish OS Map Viewer maps for any known point or searchable. Historic maps also available.
A Vision of Britain has maps, covers Ireland, and is searchable.
Simon Stewart's Hill-Walking in Ireland for Irish Mountain Lists giving height, 6-digit grid reference, and Link to Mountain Views map. |
