notes:	There are two places named Cobham Park. One in Surrey and the other in North Kent. Cobham Park, Kent is in the Gravesham District and apparently includes two SSSI areas and collectively these are known as Shorne and Ashenbank SSSI. It has not been possible to ascertain whether these sites would be suitable for epipactis - certainly not listed under current flora as describe by English Nature.

Epipactis media is a synonym for Epipactis atrorubens - certainly not a plant you would expect in Kent! It has been correctly assigned to E. helleborine, and indeed the collector appears to have had his doubts . . .

the citation for publication of the name Epipactis media is:

Epipactis media Fries [1842, Novit. Fl. Suec., Mant. 3 : 54

I assume that this stands for something like Novitates Flora Suecica
(i.e. 'Notes on the Swedish Flora' - the Fries family has given botany and mycology severable distinguished workers - this would have bee Elias Fries, 1794 - 1878)

the numbers will refer to lists which the collector used, either published ones (like the London Catalogue) or, rather less likely, their own personal ones
