Should 1838 be recorded as date collected, and who was Mrs Devas?

Mrs Devas was seemingly associated with the
Cotteswold Naturalists Field Club, interested in geology and meteorology.
1881 & 1891 census indicates that she lived at
Quarry House, Colwall, Herefordshire.
