| Seeing that all SLBI specimens of Luzula luzuloides (Stace's name) are edited with the archaic name L arcuata, I still think it's a pity that when the second name has been edited in (in this case L luzuloides) a 'specimens' search for L luzuloides draws a blank. Who would have searched for 'L arcuata'? So is it possible to make all the names edited in to sheets, findable by the 'specimens' search |

| I see now that the Stace 3 name for Carex curta is C canescens. There are 226 of the latter awaiting editing currently. Yet there are also 132 specimens of 'C curta' already on the system |

Hi Nick,
Thanks for your comments about these, I absolutely agree with you that the current treatment of synonyms is unsatisfactory.
This is something that I'm actively working on and many synonymy and searching problems should be resolved by database changes that will be applied soon.
