N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I now think Sherrin used SW when referring to common species found in SW London; some clues on other sheets are for instance 'NMH SW' = Nat Hist Mus?

Another possibility might be "S. W.[andsworth] - but how to prove it in the absence of a precise date?

A quick search through Sherrin's inner London specimens reveals, at least, the following postal districts used with specific place-names on sheet labels:

Hyde Park S.W. (no date)
Wimbledon S.W. 1897
Willesden N.W. 1897
Chiswick W. 1902

Note the NE and S divisions were abolished in 1866, before Sherrin was born (Wikipedia).

That would seem to confirm SW London for this sheet, which I've re-edited accordingly
