The Collector search leads one to "S. Wood floreat 1825-1842" which can't be right! I find no reference to him in Britten & Boulger.

For what it's worth: the information comes from 'Kent & Allen' which says "WOOD, S., fl. 1825-1842. WAR." implying that the herbarium of this collector is at Warwick Archaeological & Natural History Museum, clearly not West's companion.
