This post was made automatically in response to a request for comment on the documentation form. There is more general info about such requests here.
Documented by xmhcman following initial work by peterwiggins on 29th January 2015. Edit historyN.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I'd originally read the bottom left label as Rhosin (VCH34), but the top-right label has been annotated VC83.
Although it's possible the two specimens are unrelated I wonder if the locality is Roslin (Edinburgh, VC83) but spelt as 'Rhoslin' and 'Roslyn' on the two labels. |

I couldn't read the date either - I've seen that characteristic script on a specimen before - does anyone recognise whose it is? |

I think the date may be June 28th 1865. Compare with sheet 388620. |

The date is 1865.
There is a total of four Carex spmns collected contemporaneously in the Lothians and received by BM in 1921. |
