NOT Llyn y Cwn!

Babington's Journal for 15 August 1862 clearly states Llyn-y-Cwm, and says that he also found Isoetes echinospora "in the smaller lake". This suggests Cwm Glas with its larger Llyn Glas and smaller Llyn Bach. This would have been a climb of about 600m, and a round trip of at least 10km, hence Mr Gay's fatigue.
