#3 - a needle in a haystack. It is a long reach but could it be PenyFan near Bigswear, just across the river from vc34? There seems to be an M there - Monmouthshire?

Could this be Pen Y Foel there appears to be three in Whales.
Also do not see how the date of collection could be 1912 as he seemed to have died in 1911, I know he got about a bit but I draw the line there!

Who are you talking about? There is no collector named on the sheet, yet!
Pen y Foel means the top of the [bald] hill - there are quite a few in Wales but I felt this had to be somewhere near Gloucestershire probably VC34.
hence my suggestion of Bigsweir.

The collector, from the handwriting I would say is definitely H J Riddelsdell; and he has specimens from Tutshill 10/5/1912, the same area as Bigsweir; a limestone area, which would suit this species

Possibly Pen Moel (beside the Wye near Tutshill) was intended.
