I think it may mean "in a gravelly place, in part" although Stearn has "glareosum" to mean that. Maybe Lawrence's Latin wasn't that good

Agree the label in latin, but glarosis defeats me

The label reads "Habitat: in glarosis prope Highgate = = Archway, in comitatu Middlesex"; it grows among gravel near Highgate/Archway in the County of Middlesex. Laurence has seemingly confused 'glarea' (noun) with 'glareosus' (adjective): it should read 'in glareis' or 'in [locibus] glareosis'.
