N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Not really; JGB lived in Thirsk and collected extensively in and around the town. It's worth looking thro' his and other collectors' gatherings to familiarise oneself with their handwriting, the places in which they collected and when and cross-referencing dates and places using the Search facility; their biographies on H@H and elsewhere; their vocabulary (eg JGB favoured Watson's Regions of Temperature and Zones); their published works often available at archive.org, and papers eg in Journal of Botany or the Phytologist; and generally googling people and places. "By their fruits may ye know them"!
