Both difficult sites and I am not sure I have got the Llandevarn one right now. I looked to see where Ley had been on that date and there are two records for Talley Lakes in Carmarthens. browsing around the map, I found Llansadwrn about 6km away. It is reaching a bit, but unless anyone has a better idea......

Llandevarn. On the previous day Ley collected at Carreg Cennen. We may suppose he spent the night at Glynhir, Llandybie, the home of his late wife's family the de Buissons. It is but a short distance thence to Llandyfan SN6417. Llandyfan Church has an interesting history http://www.terrynorm.ic24.net/llandyfan%20church.htm

Thank you for that. Ley's Welsh was a bit anglicised but I wasn't at all happy with my solution, although the Ley original didn't come up on Google, OS or any other search!

Glynhir is the location for Richard Pryce's famous botanical week for the BSBI held in July every year - a wonderful occasion! http://www.theglynhirestate.com/history/index.htm
