N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

The letter, attached to http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/255678/ from the same site, reads 'I gathered the enclosed plants, which I made out to be Triglochin palustre and Eriophorum latifolium, both new to the Woolhope List. I had never seen either plant before and the sight of them gave me nearly as much pleasure as would a new moth'. (could we invent a standard scale of pleasure, unit the millimoth?)
