I can't be certain which Hyeres is referred to. J P is likely to be Dr John Percy of Nottingham, the eminent metallurgist, however this cannot be determined until a sheet with his full signature turns up.

Nick I think this collector may be Jean Picquet
- see http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/298404/ where the label handwriting is the same and has his full signature.

I'm not suggesting it is his handwriting but it has got his full name on the sheet I referred to and in the same stylised hand.
