Numerous Irish collections of the late C19 are attributed to H C Levinge and to H C L Ewings; eg http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/289719/ http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/302993/ Not only are the handwritings the identical sme, it is actually not easy to read the signature unambiguously; however I find the Levinge option more likely ...... if the correct collector is known, could the menu be jigged somehow and a handwriting specimen or warning be put on respective screens? |

I now hear that 'Ewings' did not exist and that all such specimens are Levinge's - sorting this confusion is very time-consuming when entering data! Can all the sheets be re-assigned, and the 'Ewings' name on the menu be helpfully modified? |
