FWIW, I think the first one is *Mamturk Mountains and you are right about the second.

I can't cope with Lat/Long!

No 2 H&B I thought that was right but wanted to run it past some one for a check.
No 3 ditto.
Lat/Long is the only one that makes sense to me comes from sailing, all these new fangled things mean nothing, bring back feet and inches and fathoms and Lsd

Mam, Maam or Maum (not to be confused with Maam Cross) is a village ("if it may be dignified by this name" - Praeger) at L 9653 Co. Galway. There is a small hotel at nearby Maum Bridge which was frequently used by 19th century botanists.

Scragh Bog, Loughanstown (sic), Co. Westmeath N 420590 [http://www.ipcc.ie/sitescragh.html] is near Knockdrin and no doubt ESM was visiting H C Levinge at the time. Scragh (variously spelled) is frequent as a bog name and refers to 'scraw' or reedswamp vegetation floating on the surface of open water.
