From Google suspect the "M R Humpidge of Stroud" detailed for this 1936 specimen from the Cotsworlds is "Mr Frederick C. Humpidge (1874-1944) of Stroud who botanised in the Forest of Dean" according to an entry in the Dictionary of British and Irish Botanists etc viewed via Bookrags site at http://www.bookrags.com/tandf/humpidge-frederick-c-tf/ If agreed how does one replace M R Humpidge ?

You are correct; F C Humpidge was a contributor to Flora of Gloucestershire (1948).
