The grid ref I've pinpointed on the map, NY8144, is merely an estimate. To be in Co Durham rather than S Northumberland, this has to refer to the very south part of Allendale Moor. 'Allendale Road, Nr. Alston, Durham' is a feasible location name, just - Allendale and Alston are both fairly distant, to the north in S Northumberland, and the west in Cumbria respectively
