N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Specimen 2: collector Wheslton and site Bardaston are best guesses.

Poor spelling or transcription on label?

Could refer to Batheaston (vc 6) on river Avon / Kennet & Avon Canal; or Barlaston (vc 39) on Mersey & Trent Canal.

Not collector's name but "lock by Wheelton[?]"

Thanks for comments. I have gone for Wheelton, with its locks on the Leeds and Liverpool canal, although Barlaston in Staffordshire with its lock to the north-west on the Trent and Mersey canal is also possible, OS SJ884398:
