N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Croft - this label may relate to http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/395350/ from County Durham, also undated. If so, may be from Croft between Darlington and Richmond? Mr J Dalton? Rev James Dalton has one specimen from vc65, http://herbariaunited.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12581 (but Leckby Carr is quite further south, between Thirsk & Ripon) none from vc66

HISTORICAL ACCOUNT of the HERBARIUM OF THE YORKSHIRE PHILOSOPHICAL SOCIETY says of Rev. James Dalton, FLS, "After leaving Copgrove, Mr. Dalton went to Catterick Bridge (1791), and thence to Croft on Tees (1805), where he discharged his ministerial duties until his death in 1843."

Croft on Tees: OS NZ2809, VC65 North-west Yorkshire.
