N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Re firstspecimen: I can't make out the month - seems to be 08"mo"1857.... so gone for 8th month. Also can't trace a "Kirby water" anywhere near Thirsk...any ideas?

I'm sure 8th month is right.
Have found Newborough Decoy and edited it in.
Can't help with Kirby Water - a defunct pond perhaps? Smile

In 'North Yorkshire' (1863) Baker records this species from "a pond at Kirby Wiske": I am sure this is the locality SE375844
