N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I interpret these labels as: specimens of J Woods (his monogram), pencil note F Townsend, identification A Bloxam

"According to Bagnall, Bloxam was one of the earliest English students of [Rubus and Rosa], and from 1840 onwards issued 'fasciculi' (i.e. separate sections intended eventually to form a book), which were of great value to beginners who wished to study these plants."

Could it be that this is one of Bloxam's specimens on which Woods has marked evidence of his ownership?

I agree you may very likely be right. In addition, I've now seen a sheet with a letter seemingly written to the collector by Bloxam, but where it also could possibly be Bloxam who is the collector - can't now find it though!
