Biography
Louis Arsène né Jean-Marie BIZEUL
French clegyman and botanist, longtime in the service of the Institut des Frères de L'Instruction Chretienne (FIC), collected extensively in Southern Quebec, Bretagne, Jersey Islands and Saint Pierre-et-Miquelon, teacher at FIC St. Pierre 1895-1903, La Prairie, Quebec 1903-1908, Montreal 1908-1910, La Prairy as provincial of his order 1910-1921, Highlands, St. Jersey assistant general of his order from 1921.
Especially known for his studies of the flora of the islands of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon off the Newfoundland coast, and Trichomanes speciosum in Brittany.
Born 5 Aug 1875, Méric, France.
Died 25 Jan 1959, at Josselin, Morbihan, France.
