Biography
William Nichols Tetley was the second child of James Douglas Tetley (1827/8-1910), a Wesleyan minister who moved frequently with his work, and Eliza Hannay Tetley née Stephenson (1834/5-1906).
Born Sheffield 1861.
Educated King Edward's, Birmingham, and Kingswood, Bath.
1880-1884 St Catherine's College Cambridge University.
6 years as assistant master at Pembroke High School in Lytham.
1889-1890 Durham College of Science Co. Durham.
1891-1919 Taught Science at Portora Royal School, Enniskillen.
1919 Active member of the Moss Exchange Club, contributing 183 specimens, and during August was collecting with Daniel Angell Jones in Wales.
1926 Living in Belfast.
1928 Living at Hoylake, Cheshire.
Died 1928.
