This post was made automatically in response to a request for comment on the documentation form. There is more general info about such requests here.
Documented by dawn nelson on 8th January 2013. Edit historyN.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names. Log-in to edit this sheet.

yes that looks like it, but I can't find anything like that on or near the Avon in G'shire, and that sheet hasn't pinned it down either :( |

Other specimens come from Hanum and Cleeve Wood which look possible as locations but I simply can't find Tresleford. |

What I find worrying about Tresleford is that when you type it into Google all the results point back to herbaria@home! |

I think that the name is J(oseph) H(ume) Hume Rothery, who was a member of the Cotteswold Field Club - which has appeared several times on H@H
Census suggests retired barrister (& patent lawyer ?) and also p/t lecturer, born in Lancashire 1866, died 1957. Son William Hume Rothery - (Oxford) chemist and metallurgist. |
