N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I'm not sure. Kent & Allen suggests Mitchell was active in Leicester and Yorkshire. There aren't any other Mitchell sheets in the database, so nothing to compare against. (I haven't found a better suggestion though)

Splendid! Searching the Aberdeen database reveals (amongst 30 examples from the genus) Potamogeton pectinatus collected from "Old Quarry, Shore, Newton on Ayr" on 01/07/1853 (I suspect the day date is an artifact of the database as 'firsts of month' seem vastly over represented), with collector McMurtrie, Dr. Rev. J.
